Legal Counsel | Munich Our client is seeking a Legal Counsel to join the legal function of a fast-growing technology company with government and public-sector customers across Europe. The role sits at the centre of the company's go-to-market activity, working closely with sales, product and partnerships teams, and includes contributing to the development of the legal function itself, including the adoption of AI-powered legal tools.
The role
Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial contracts, including sales and supplier agreements, software licensing and SaaS agreements, framework contracts, NDAs and teaming agreements with government and public-sector customers.
Advise business stakeholders on contractual risk, liability, IP ownership, data protection, regulatory matters and export control implications. Support deal structuring in complex, multi-jurisdictional and public procurement contexts, coordinating with Finance, Export Control and Product teams.
Build and maintain contract templates, playbooks and standard terms to support scalable contracting across the business. Contribute to the adoption of AI-powered legal tools within the legal function.
What you'll need
Law degree (First or Second State Exam, or equivalent), with a strong track record in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts. Substantial post-qualification experience in commercial law, ideally combining law firm and in-house exposure.
