Applied AI Engineer

Role: Applied AI Engineer Location: Central London Salary: £80,000 – £120,000 + Bonus + Equity Applied AI & Agentic Systems | Enterprise Innovation | Production AI Engineering We're partnered with a global digital engineering and technology services company that works with major organizations across multiple industries, helping them solve complex business challenges through software engineering, data and artificial intelligence.

As they continue to expand their AI capabilities, they're looking to bring in talented Applied AI Engineers to join their growing team in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on real-world AI applications and enterprise-level projects , helping businesses move beyond AI experimentation and turn emerging technologies into practical solutions.

You'll be involved in designing, developing and implementing AI-powered applications that solve genuine business problems, working alongside talented engineers and technical specialists. The role combines strong software engineering with hands-on Applied AI development .

You'll be building intelligent applications, integrating LLMs, developing agentic workflows and working with technologies such as Python, Hugging Face, LangChain, LangGraph, RAG and vector databases such as Pinecone . You'll have the opportunity to work across the development lifecycle, from exploring use cases and prototyping solutions through to building, deploying and optimizing production-ready AI systems.

A particularly important part of this opportunity is the ability to ship AI features into production . They're looking for engineers who understand that building a successful AI solution involves much more than prompting an LLM.

You should have experience developing reliable applications, integrating APIs and external tools, evaluating AI outputs and making sure solutions perform effectively in real-world environments. They're also interested in engineers with Full-Stack Engineering exposure , particularly those who can move comfortably between backend development, application architecture and AI integration.

Experience building products from the ground up, working in start-ups or founding your own technical venture would be highly desirable.
