Job Description Most RI roles that reach the market are really about signing off someone else's files. This one is closer to owning the audit function. \ N An independent Central London accountancy firm is looking to appoint an Audit RI.
They have a settled client base and a steady audit portfolio, and they want someone who will take responsibility for the quality of the work, develop the people doing it, and have a genuine say in where the department goes next. \ N It would suit an experienced Audit Director, Senior Manager or existing RI who has more capability than their current firm has room for. \ N The role \ N Acting as Responsible Individual across a portfolio of audits, from planning through to sign off \ N Setting the standard for audit quality and holding the team to it \ N File review, and beingthe person managers and seniors come to with the technical questions \ N Staying close to existing clients and getting involved in new work \ N Working with the partners on how the audit offering develops \ N What they're looking for \ N ACA or ACCA qualified, with UK practice audit experience \ N RI status already held,or a strong case for obtaining it \ N Confident on current ISA (UK) requirements and comfortable defending a file \ N Someone who wants to lead a team, not just carry a portfolio \ N What's onoffer \ N Central London office, hybrid working \ N Scope to shape the audit function rather than inherit a fixed process \ N Direct partner contactfrom the start \ N A realistic route to partner for the right person \ N If you're an RI, or close to it, and want an off the record conversation about what this could look like, get in touch.
