Reference: HSJ921957811C_1787837028Clinical Negligence Solicitor / CILEX - CardiffSalary: From 48,000Hybrid: 2 days office / 3 days homeThe RoleFantastic opportunity for a Solicitor or CILEX with strong claimant clinical negligence experience to join a growing and highly regarded Clinical Negligence team.

This national firm is well known for its specialist litigation work, long standing partnerships with major insurers and membership organisations, and its consistent presence in legal rankings. You'll handle a varied caseload of complex and high value clinical negligence matters, both pre and post issue.

Alongside running your own files, you'll play a key part in supervising and developing a small team of case handlers, contributing to the group's ongoing success. This hybrid role requires attendance in the Cardiff office two days per week, with the remainder worked from home.

Your responsibilities will include

Managing a caseload of complex, litigated clinical negligence claimsSupervising and supporting case handlers under the guidance of the Group LeaderLeading case planning, weekly risk assessment meetings and 1 2 1 supervisionProviding ad hoc advice and guidance to junior colleaguesTaking part in team training, marketing and wider departmental initiativesHelping maintain and refine case management proceduresCandidate RequirementsWe're looking for someone confident, organised and motivated, with a genuine passion for claimant clinical negligence work.

You will bring: Solid claimant clinical negligence experience with a strong litigation backgroundAbility to manage complex, high value claims from issue through to resolutionExperience supervising, coaching or mentoring junior team membersStrong communication skills and the ability to support clients sensitivelyExcellent organisational skills and a pragmatic, solutions focused approachGood working knowledge of CPR and clinical negligence lawProficient IT skills and confidence managing your own workloadExperience with Legal Expense Insurance, publicly funded matters or CFA arrangements would be beneficial.
