Job Summary

As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing flooring contracts across construction projects, from initial tender and contract negotiation through to installation and project completion. They ensure flooring works are delivered safely, on time and within budget, while maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality.

Duties

Review contract terms, identify risks and negotiate practical changes with relevant parties.

Track milestones, deliverables and variations using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office tools.

Maintain clear contract records and correspondence in Word, Outlook and Excel, and communicate updates to project teams.

Apply management, leadership and organisational skills to coordinate priorities and support timely decisions.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of commercial flooring products and installation methods.

Experience managing flooring projects and contracts within the construction industry.

Ability to manage subcontractors, site teams and suppliers.

Good understanding of contract management, pricing, variations and cost control.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and tender documents.

Strong planning, organisational and time-management skills.

Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Good problem-solving and negotiation skills.

Knowledge of health and safety requirements and quality control procedures.
