Credit Control Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the Credit Control function at our Ipswich HQ, guiding a motivated team and partnering with Finance to support business operations. You will drive efficiency, maintain tight controls, and deliver timely management information to enable strategic decisions. You’ll build strong stakeholder relationships and champion best practices across processes and training. This is a hands-on leadership role with a clear impact on cash flow, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop the Credit Control team, coaching and managing output
• Collaborate with other department managers to drive efficiency
• Achieve team KPIs and monitor performance
• Develop inductions and training for new and existing staff
• Build and maintain relationships with major stakeholders
• Work with finance leads to provide data to support operations
• Implement internal controls and harmonise processes to best practice
• Create compliance frameworks and drive best practices in systems
• Produce management information for strategic decision making
• Deliver reports and schedules to stakeholders within tight deadlines
• Identify and resolve potential problem accounts and escalate as needed
• Drive system upgrades and ensure workflows are followed

• Demonstrable experience managing a successful credit control function
• Strong leadership experience with coaching and team development
• Strategic mindset with ability to drive continual improvement
• Proven experience designing and maintaining internal control frameworks
• Effective communication across stakeholders to maximise outputs
• Results-driven with a positive, inspirational leadership style in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to learning and development within the team and broader business
• High level of Microsoft Excel competency
• Desirable: experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and OCR technology
