Maintenance Engineer Location: Aberdeen Salary: £40,000 – £47,000 per annum Shift: 4 on 4 off – Days Maintenance Engineer – Aberdeen Are you an experienced Engineer looking for your next opportunity within a supportive and well-established manufacturing environment?
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team at a busy manufacturing site in Aberdeen. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a hands-on role , working across a range of production machinery while helping to keep the site running safely, efficiently and reliably.
You'll be joining a positive engineering team where teamwork, communication and mutual respect are at the heart of the working environment. The Role As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of production machinery and site equipment.
Your responsibilities will include
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding and repairs. Completing reactive and corrective maintenance. Supporting both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
Supporting continuous improvement and engineering improvement projects. Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime. Ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained safely and efficiently. Supporting the reliability and performance of production equipment.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on engineering role where your experience and technical skills will have a direct impact on site performance. Sector: Factory Manufacturing Requirements
Essential
A recognised Engineering qualification – Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent. Previous experience working as an Engineer within an industrial, manufacturing or similar environment.
Desirable
Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer. Experience carrying out planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance. Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience. Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery.
Ability to fault find using PLC inputs and outputs. Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment. Engineering experience gained within the Armed Forces is also welcomed.
