Overview
In this role you will join a London-based project delivery team to manage mechanical building services on major packages, from design coordination through commissioning and handover. You will work closely with design, commercial and project teams to align installation with specifications and safety standards. The position offers long-term growth within a Tier 1 M&E contractor, with increasing responsibility as you contribute to high-profile residential and commercial developments. You will help drive quality, coordination, and on-site execution in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate mechanical building services packages
- Review drawings, specifications and technical information
- Coordinate with design, commercial and project teams
- Coordinate with other trades including electrical and public health
- Manage specialist subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitor installation quality and conformance to specs
- Resolve technical and coordination issues on site
- Attend project, design and coordination meetings
- Monitor programme/progress of mechanical works
- Support procurement of mechanical equipment and packages
- Assist with testing, commissioning and handover
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and the project team
- Ensure works are delivered safely and to required quality standards
Key requirements
- Strong mechanical building services knowledge
- Experience delivering mechanical packages on major construction projects
- Experience working for an M&E contractor
- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and technical information
- Experience coordinating with other building services and trades
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with subcontractors, consultants and clients
- Proactive approach and ownership of work
