We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Worcester to assist with the appointment of a Planning Enforcement Officer on a 5-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 16.68 - 21.91 per hour Summary: We are seeking an experienced Planning Enforcement Officer to manage a varied caseload of planning enforcement investigations. You will investigate alleged planning breaches review existing cases conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with planning legislation while delivering timely high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of approximately 70100 planning enforcement cases including existing and new complaints. Investigate alleged breaches of planning control and determine appropriate enforcement action. Conduct site inspections and urgent site visits as required.
Review planning applications legal documents planning history and relevant legislation. Assess cases involving designated heritage assets and protected trees. Essentials: Experience in Planning Enforcement within a local authority or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of planning legislation enforcement procedures and planning law. Experience investigating planning enforcement cases and managing a complex caseload. Ability to interpret planning history plans legal documents and regulations.
Experience preparing enforcement notices reports and legal documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
