We are working with a highly regarded, award-winning Tier 1 main contractor who is looking to appoint an ambitious and experienced Senior Estimator to join their established team, based from their Cardiff office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and forward-thinking construction business with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors, with individual project values reaching up to £80 million.

The Role – Senior Estimator As Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction and estimating function, taking responsibility for the preparation and submission of competitive tenders across a range of major construction projects.

You will work closely with the wider pre-construction, commercial and operational teams to ensure accurate cost planning, robust tender submissions and successful project procurement. Key Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects.
• Managing the tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission.
• Analysing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions.
• Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Supporting bid strategies and contributing to successful project wins.
• Ensuring all estimates are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines. Requirements – Senior Estimator
• Previous experience working as a Senior Estimator or Estimator within the construction industry.
• Experience with a main contractor or Tier 1 contractor would be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and procurement processes.
• Experience pricing and tendering medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
