To provide expert electrical maintenance, repair and installation services across the estate, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities
Electrical Duties Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance and minor installation works in accordance with current IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671). Diagnose and repair electrical faults in systems such as lighting, power, emergency lighting, heating controls and distribution boards.
Perform statutory inspections and testing (e.g. emergency lighting, PAT testing). Complete and maintain accurate records, test sheets and certificates to support compliance with legislation and audit requirements. Maintenance Duties Undertake basic tasks in other trade areas (e.g. general maintenance) to support the wider maintenance team.
Assist with minor works, refurbishment, and lifecycle maintenance projects. Compliance and Safety Ensure all work complies with current electrical, health andsafety and building regulations. Conduct risk assessments and adhere to method statements and safe systems of work.
Identify and report hazards, defects or required upgrades promptly. Work safely at heights or in confined spaces as required, using appropriate equipment and PPE. Team Support and Communication Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and contractors to ensure a smooth workflow and timely project completion.
Liaise professionally with building users and stakeholders. Join the on-call rota and respond to out of hours issues when required. Specialist Tradesperson Person Specification Essential criteria: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent. City
