This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified accountant with strong audit experience to take ownership of a varied portfolio, lead complex assignments and develop key client relationships. You'll also play a central role in mentoring the wider audit team and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities Manage audit assignments from planning through to completion Lead complex audits across a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships Act as a key point of contact for clients, resolving queries and providing commercial insight Review audit files and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations Supervise, mentor and develop Audit Seniors, Semi-Seniors and trainees Manage budgets, workflow and deadlines to ensure efficient delivery Support Partners with technical matters and client development Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the audit team About You ACA or ACCA qualified Proven experience managing audits within an accountancy practice Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards Excellent client management and relationship-building skills Experience leading and developing audit teams Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability Excellent organisation and time management skills Confident working with Partners, clients and colleagues at all levels Proactive, ambitious and committed to delivering high-quality work What's on Offer Hybrid and flexible working Competitive salary and benefits Varied and interesting audit portfolio Significant client-facing responsibility Leadership and team development opportunities Input into process improvement and practice development Ongoing professional training and support Clear progression towards Senior Manager / Director Supportive and collaborative working environment Location Taunton, Somerset Commutable from Bridgwater, Yeovil, Wellington, Glastonbury, Street and surrounding areas.
