This is a senior leadership opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified audit professional with a proven track record of managing teams, delivering high-quality audits and developing strong client relationships. You'll play a key role in shaping the future direction, growth and efficiency of the audit department.

Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee a portfolio of complex audit assignments Manage, develop and motivate audit teams to deliver high-quality work Provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with auditing and accounting standards Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients Act as a senior point of contact, providing commercial insight and resolving complex issues Take an active role in business development and client engagement Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships and develop new business Monitor departmental performance, budgets, workflow and efficiency Drive improvements to audit processes, systems and quality Mentor and develop Managers, Seniors and junior team members Work closely with Partners and senior leadership on the strategic development of the department About You ACA or ACCA qualified Significant post-qualification audit experience within an accountancy practice Proven track record managing audit teams and complex assignments Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards Excellent client relationship and communication skills Commercially minded with experience contributing to business development Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills Strategic approach to improving processes and departmental performance Confident working with Partners, clients and senior stakeholders Ambitious and motivated to influence the continued growth of the practice What's on Offer Hybrid and flexible working Competitive salary and benefits Senior leadership position within the audit team Strategic input into departmental growth and efficiency Significant business development and client engagement opportunities Opportunity to shape internal processes and team development Ongoing professional development Clear progression towards Director / Partner Supportive and collaborative leadership environment Location Taunton, Somerset Commutable from Bridgwater, Yeovil, Wellington, Glastonbury, Street and surrounding areas.
