Job Description Not-for-Profit Audit Manager – Taunton Taunton | Full-Time | Hybrid & Flexible Working | Competitive Salary + Benefits Keywords: Not-for-Profit Audit Manager, Charity Audit Manager, NFP Audit, Charity Accounts, Independent Examination, SORP, ACA, ACCA, Audit Manager, Accountancy Practice, Taunton, Somerset We're recruiting an experienced Not-for-Profit Audit Manager to join a growing accountancy practice in Taunton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified accountant with experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector. You'll manage a varied portfolio, oversee charity accounts and independent examinations, develop client relationships and support the next generation of professionals.

Key Responsibilities Review charity accounts and independent examinations prepared by junior team members Prepare and complete files to a high standard ready for Partner review Support junior staff with the preparation of charity accounts under SORP Perform independent examinations and deal with specialist charity matters Work closely with the Head of Charities on ad hoc projects and specialist advice Deal with charity accounting, taxation and VAT queries Manage workflow to ensure deadlines and client expectations are met Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients Review limited company accounts and support wider accounts assignments Prepare corporation tax and personal tax returns where required Coach and develop trainees, helping them build successful careers within the not-for-profit sector Take ownership of responsibilities and contribute to the continued development of the team About You ACA or ACCA qualified Previous accounting or audit experience within the charity / not-for-profit sector Strong understanding of charity accounting and SORP Experience managing a broad portfolio of clients Experience coaching, mentoring or leading junior team members Strong communication and relationship-building skills Excellent organisational and time management abilities Passionate about working with charity and not-for-profit organisations Able to work confidently both independently and as part of a team What's on Offer Hybrid and flexible working Competitive salary and benefits Specialist charity and not-for-profit portfolio Opportunity to work closely with senior charity specialists Significant client responsibility and development opportunities Coaching and mentoring responsibilities Ongoing professional training and support Opportunity to shape your own responsibilities within the team Clear career progression Supportive and collaborative working environment Location Taunton, Somerset Commutable from Bridgwater, Yeovil, Wellington, Glastonbury, Street and surrounding areas.
